Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in Cincinnati, OH. This role offers flexible, fixed anchor shifts with an option to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings, with a base pay of $28.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include customer service, armed patrols, and access control, plus readiness for incident response and cash-handling support. Eligibility requires 21+, 2+ years in related fields, HS diploma, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security‑related concerns according to site procedures.
• Support cash handling and other sensitive operations by maintaining a visible presence, observing surrounding activity, and following post orders for high‑value financial environments.

As a Security Officer - Armed - Flexible in Cincinnati, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$28.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law./li>
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
