Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Response in Morganton, NC. You will perform armed patrols, manage access points, and provide professional customer service to staff and the public at a government corrections location.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour. You will report to site leadership and follow post orders while ensuring a secure environment and safe operations.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation as required by law.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by executing security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly following post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify authorization, and document visitor activity and incidents.
• Communicate observations and incident information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Response in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving role offers the opportunity to work with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while helping maintain a secure environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain awareness of changing conditions and communicate observations, concerns, and incident information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
