Allied Universal in San Jose, CA is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Perimeter Response to protect transit riders and facilities. The role combines armed patrols, driving, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Perimeter Response in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation protocols.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts, dispatch, and public agencies as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
