Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and following established protocols.
• Maintain visible presence while monitoring for security-related concerns and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports and communicate with law enforcement when needed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Field Patrol in Harlingen, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence while monitoring for security‑related concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations; report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate with law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
