Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer in Troy, AL. You will patrol facilities, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional conduct and following site procedures.

Requires active DoD Secret Clearance and readiness for a background check. This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities in a dynamic security team environment.

Qualifications

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document entries, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications, equipment accountability, and professional conduct in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Armed DoD Secret Patrol Security Clearance in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine inspections, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
