Job summary

Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Campus Patrol to serve our campus community. You will provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners, performing security procedures, enforcing campus policies, and responding to emergencies.

The role involves regular armed patrols, monitoring access points, reporting incidents, and documenting daily activity with a professional presence.

Qualifications

• CPO certification required.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the educational location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a CPO.
• Minimum of 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, military and/or degree in criminal justice.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
