Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking an armed Security Officer for Campus Response Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL. You will patrol campus facilities, deter incidents, and maintain a visible security presence for students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications include a CPO certification, armed guard license, 2+ years in law enforcement or related field, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; document observations and incidents per site procedures.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, documenting observations, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and carry out armed duties in compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a CPO certification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military and/or degree in criminal justice.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
