Qualifications

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution, following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of galleries, public spaces, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports for Allied Universal leadership.

Position Type: Part Time / Graveyard Shift

Pay Rate: $30.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM


• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of galleries, collections areas, public spaces, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site‑specific requirements.


• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.


• Possess a Guard Card/License is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
