Qualifications

• Possess a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A Baton Certification is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate public-service personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain awareness of restricted areas, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while maintaining a professional presence in varied working environments and conditions.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Baton Certified Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do
