Job summary

You will support transportation personnel, visitors, and contractors, performing security procedures and emergency response when required. You must have 2+ years in law enforcement or related fields, plus an armed guard card and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transportation personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, tracks, yards, buildings, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly.

As a Security Officer Armed Anchor Driver in Oregon, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to transportation personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of rail facilities, access points, parking areas, tracks, yards, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
