The position includes responsibilities such as access control, patrols, incident response, and customer service for employees and visitors. Eligibility includes a high school diploma and background checks where required by law.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, logs and direct authorized personnel and vehicles.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to identify issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies; communicate observations and document incidents.
• Assist with monitoring contractor and delivery activity and report hazards or unauthorised activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Patrol in Marion, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain required logs, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and complete accurate incident documentation.
• Assist with monitoring contractor and delivery activity, following site traffic and access procedures, and reporting damaged property, hazards, or unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
