Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Guard in De Soto, KS. This role requires prior security, military, or law enforcement experience, including armed security experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Pay is $28.00 per hour with day and overnight shift options (two 12-hour days, two 8-hour days; overnight three days per week with two hybrid shifts). Minimum 1 year security or equivalent experience is required.

• Background check required by law.

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Armed Security Guard to join our team in De Soto, KS. This position requires prior security, military, or law enforcement experience, along with experience working in an armed security capacity.

Position Details

• Position: Armed Security Guard
• Location: De Soto, KS
• Pay: $28.00 per hour
• Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM — two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts
• Overnight Shift: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM — three days per week, with the remaining two shifts hybridized
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of security experience OR military/veteran experience OR law enforcement experience
• Armed Experience: Previous armed security experience required
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
