Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Armed Security Officer to protect client assets and ensure safety at designated locations. The role requires vigilance, sound judgment under pressure, and strict adherence to security protocols.

This safety-sensitive position involves public interaction and handling firearms. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and the ability to make responsible decisions in high-stress situations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Military Police, law enforcement, corrections, or comparable armed security role required.
• Valid armed guard license where required by state law.
• Legal authorization to carry and operate a firearm in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local security/firearm regulations.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify potential security risks or hazards.
• Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents professionally and appropriately.
• Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide emergency response including de-escalation, detainment support, or coordination with law enforcement when required.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation.
• Interact with the public professionally while enforcing site rules.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
