Job summary

Allied Universal in Dalton, GA is seeking a Security Officer Alarm Panel Patrol to safeguard clients at logistics and distribution sites. You will patrol, monitor alarm panels, control access, and provide professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role requires 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and a high school diploma, with background checks and drug screening as part of the process. Prior alarm panel and badge experience are preferred, with licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports.
