Allied Universal in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Security Officer specialized in Alarm Panel Operations to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service and using technology to document observations.

This full-time role offers daytime/night shifts with a starting pay of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe the movement of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Operations in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service while using technology to document observations. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
