Job Description

As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service. You will use communication and computer skills to document observations and assist visitors and personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal-adjacent areas, parking facilities, access points, roadways, and the surrounding perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting adherence to site access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
