Job Description

As a Security Officer Admission Control in Lansing, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide courteous assistance to patients, visitors, and staff. Through clear communication and a visible presence, you will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorizations in accordance with facility requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor and access records, issue temporary credentials as authorized, and direct guests to appropriate areas of the location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
