Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time unarmed patrols at a utilities location in Burr Ridge, IL. You will protect assets, monitor access, and deliver excellent service to employees and visitors during night shifts.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, conducting regular patrols, and maintaining accurate reporting. Pay is $20.38 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities within a national security leader.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Validation in Burr Ridge, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet tools to document observations. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility and industrial operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and reporting access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately in required reports and shift logs.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
