Job summary

Allied Universal in Fremont, CA is seeking a Security Officer Access Credential Validation to monitor and protect the facility, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service at an automotive manufacturing location. You will respond to incidents, verify access, and patrol assigned areas as part of a collaborative team.

The position is full-time with an afternoon/evening schedule and a pay rate of $22.52 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, parking areas, access points, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document entries, exits, and incidents.
• Report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervisor.

What You'll Do

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
