Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Shepherdsville, KY to provide access control, customer service, and incident response at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and assist visitors while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for employees and guests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, access exceptions, and other security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
