Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control - Weekends in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all. Your presence and attention to detail support a secure atmosphere, while your strong communication and customer service skills contribute to positive interactions with staff, patients, and visitors. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every situation.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential issues.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to maintain authorized entry to restricted areas.
• Document and report any unusual activities or incidents according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
