Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Response Driver in Penns Grove, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, monitor access points, verify credentials, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while helping to deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, including verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic at gates, docks, and/or designated entry points; verify required documentation and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating concerns to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking lots, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
