Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Access Control in San Antonio, TX to safeguard clients and manage site entry for industrial locations. You will verify credentials, log visits, and patrol entry points while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $15.67 per hour. Training is provided, and the schedule includes day and night shifts to ensure continuous site protection.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: A Security Guard Card is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to industrial and manufacturing locations by verifying credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor sign-in requirements.
• Maintain accurate access logs, issue and recover visitor badges or temporary credentials, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.

As a Security Officer - Access Control in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at an industrial location, you will help manage site entry, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Guard Card is preferred.

• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
