You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and maintain logs while delivering professional communication to employees, visitors, and drivers.

You will perform regular patrols, respond calmly to incidents, document observations, and uphold site-specific security procedures.

Qualifications

• Age requirement: 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as allowed by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain logs, and direct individuals to loading, receiving, and admin areas.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and policy violations accurately and communicate with Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Verification in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide clear, professional communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth operations. Pay Rate: $19.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.

• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and direct individuals to appropriate loading, receiving, and administrative areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and policy violations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
