Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Access Control Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN. You will protect client sites, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

Preferred CPR certification and access-control experience will support your daily duties. This full-time role requires a high school diploma, background check, and compliance with safety and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused office spaces, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Help support a professional, orderly environment by reporting security-related concerns, policy violations, and maintenance issues to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
