Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Fort Smith, AR. You will monitor access, patrol the facility, and provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Licensing may be required per state/local laws.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed, maintaining logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner following reporting procedures.
• Communicate with site personnel and leadership about incidents and observations.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet tools to document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
