Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in Spartanburg, SC to perform site security duties at a manufacturing/industrial location. You will protect people and property, conduct patrols, monitor access, and log activities while following site policies and emergency procedures.

The role emphasizes customer service, vigilance, and teamwork, with Smarter Tools and ongoing training, plus benefits for full-time staff. Training to advance within the company is available.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles (if applicable).
• Background check required under federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law; licensing may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site policies and safety procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points and facility perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and incident records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations per site procedures and notify appropriate people.
• Deter unauthorized activity through a visible security presence and support orderly operations.

Job Schedule: Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence while supporting orderly operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
