As an Security Officer Access Control Operations in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, use computer or tablet systems as needed, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Control access for vehicles and deliveries, communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established security‑related reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of industrial facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• At this site, there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
