Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by enforcing site-specific security procedures and access control policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify IDs/credentials, process visitor access, maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and security issues calmly and escalate per site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to detect unauthorized activity.
• Operate access control and communication systems and document daily activities.

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and employee access, and help maintain a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and support security-related operations with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, process visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access exceptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity and potential security-related concerns.
• Operate access control and communication systems, document daily activities, and report maintenance issues or irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
