Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to utility facilities by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, issuing access credentials as authorized, and reporting discrepancies.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned utility locations, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, access control documentation, and incident reports while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
