Position Overview

We are hiring a Part-time Security Officer for Leidos at 6825 Pine St, Omaha, NE. Your responsibilities include maintaining facility security by checking visitors, vendors, and contractors, issuing access badges, and conducting regular foot patrols. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and security.

Job Details

• Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
• Schedule: Mornings, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday
• Primary Duties: Foot Patrol and Access Control

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior security experience preferred but not required; customer service background is acceptable
• Skills: Comfortable using technology devices
• Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand for long periods, and work in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency responses
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises, with environment and conditions varying by site

Minimum Requirements

• Age: At least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Background Check: Subject to federal, state, and local laws
• Drug Screening: Required as permitted by law
• Licensing: May be required based on state/local laws
• Driver’s License: Required for driving positions
