Job summary

Prosegur Security USA, Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking a dedicated security officer to patrol client facilities, enforce safety, and respond to emergencies. The role requires a valid AZ Unarmed Security License and strong written and verbal communication skills.

You will prepare reports, operate access control technology, and handle crisis situations with professionalism. Shifts are 12 hours (5am-5pm or 5pm-5am).

Qualifications

• Must have a valid/current State of Arizona Unarmed Security License
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
• Must be able to read and understand operating procedures and instructions
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test required

Responsibilities

Job description

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines


• Must have a valid/current State of Arizona Unarmed Security License


• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting


• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment


• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test.


• Advanced computer skills to utilize innovative, access control technology at client-specific sites


• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently


• Help patrol our client's facilities and prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or other infractions before they occur. Respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure the safety and security of people and property

Shifts: 12-hour shifts. 5am-5pm and 5pm-5am

Qualifications we are looking for:

• At least 18 years of age


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Must have a valid/current State of Arizona Unarmed Security License


• Must have good time management


• Must be punctual


• Must be able to multi-task


• C-CURE Access Control, GENETEC Technology Experience a plus


• Security or related work experience with a solid understanding of the security industry and contract security services


• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills


• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently


• Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat


• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
