Job summary

Allied Universal in Kahului, HI is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. You will serve employees, visitors, and drivers while following site procedures and reporting irregularities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain entry records, and direct authorized personnel.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain daily activity reports, access logs, and incident documentation.

As an Access Control Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

• Mon - 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue - 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri - 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat - 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun - 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver entry records, and direct authorized personnel and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, access logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
