Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and access requirements before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, gates, and vehicle entry locations; maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points and surroundings to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor access requirements before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, gates, and vehicle entry locations; maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, facility grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
