Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control in Grand Rapids, MI. This part-time position focuses on safeguarding clients in manufacturing and industrial environments, enforcing access-control procedures, and delivering excellent customer service.

Pay Rate: $25.35 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and maintain required logs in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Support a professional work environment by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
