Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access Control in Fort Wayne, IN. You will serve and safeguard clients, monitor access points, conduct patrols, and provide excellent customer service.

This role offers flexible day-time hours and an opportunity to explore new positions using our Claim a Shift platform. As a non-armed role, you must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma, and pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen as applicable.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, loading areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, maintain logs, and report access-control irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel per emergency protocols.
• Document patrol observations and incidents in clear reports and communicate relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.

• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
