Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking an Access Control Security Officer in New Jersey. The role follows a Tue-Fri 8am-4pm schedule with a payrate of $17.00 per hour.

You will patrol premises, monitor entrances, respond to alarms and maintain a safe, orderly environment for employees and visitors. Requirements include a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR, SORA or willingness to obtain, fluency in English, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
• SORA license or willingness to obtain.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Remain calm in fast-paced environments.
• Clear communication in person, by phone and radio.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be 18+.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and flexible.
• Weekend and holiday availability.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

Job Duties

• Communicate professionally with employees, customers, vendors and visitors
• Patrol premises on foot and/or in Securitas Vehicle regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Assist with enforcing company policies and Site-specific security procedures
• Monitor facility entrances, exits, perimeter and designated Security areas.
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior, preventing vandalism, or other criminal behavior.

Requirements

• Must possess of a Valid Driver’s Licensewith a clean MVR
• Valid SORA licenseor willing to obtain
• Required to work effectively under variable weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy at all times
• Must be able to remain calm, focused, and productive in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone and/or radio
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
