Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Dalton, GA. You will provide customer service, monitor access points, and patrol manufacturing and industrial locations to deter unauthorized activity.

This role emphasizes responsiveness, reliability, and professional communication with employees and visitors. As part of Allied Universal’s team, you’ll work a flexible daytime schedule with a pay rate of $11.79 per hour.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check per laws; drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking, access points, and perimeter.
• Verify credentials and document visitor/contractor entries; report access concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; communicate with site contacts and responders.
• Complete logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; share information with leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, office spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access concerns in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and incoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
