Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Access Control in Coopersville, MI. You will monitor access points, perform routine patrols, and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors.

This full-time role pays $19.00 per hour and follows DayTime shifts. You will follow site procedures, respond to incidents, document activities, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees and visitors while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, notifying proper contacts and emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity reports and logs per requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Cotrol in Coopersville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting orderly access to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
