Job summary

Allied Universal in New Holland, PA is hiring a Security Officer Access Control Systems to protect client facilities across Food/Beverage and other sectors. In this role you will monitor entry points, verify badges, respond to alarm activity, and document incidents while delivering outstanding customer service with a visible presence.

This full-time position pays $19.00 per hour with day/evening shifts listed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, visitor authorization, contractor credentials, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access‑related records; issue and retrieve temporary credentials as directed by site policy.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, exterior areas, parking locations, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
