Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Access Authorization near Barnegat, NJ. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badges, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism while maintaining a secure environment in a chemical/petrochemical location.

This role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and adherence to site procedures. Pay is $18.50 per hour with daytime/night shifts and weekend options.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify authorization and identification as required, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, community grounds, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity or potential hazards.
• Support access procedures for a chemical and petrochemical-related location, including adherence to site requirements for restricted areas, contractor coordination, and incident reporting.
