Job summary

Broadmead, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and staff, and to verify the scheduled presence of employees and contractors on the grounds.

The role includes responding to alarms and emergencies and ensuring access routes remain clear, especially during snowstorms. The position is non-exempt, hourly, full-time with 30 hours or more per week, and reports to the Plant Operations Director and Lead Security Officer.

Responsibilities

• M akes scheduled rounds inside and outside buildings to maintain security for residents and property.
• Responds to fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
• Shovels and keeps clear exit door walkways during and after snowstorms.
• Accomplishes all work in the priority order set by supervisor.
• Performs light maintenance when time allows (changing bulbs, touch up painting).
• Maintains tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions.
• Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, staff and protecting Community property. Responsible for verifying the scheduled presence of all employees, and third party contractors on the grounds.

Primary Job Duties:

• Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property.
• Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
• Shovels and keeps clear exit door walkways during and after snowstorms.
• Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.

Secondary Job Duties:

• Performs light maintenance as time allows such as changing light bulbs, touch up painting and similar assignments.
• Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
