Job summary

Cerasus is hiring for a Full-Time Security Officer position in Indianapolis, IN. The role entails safeguarding client assets, employees, and premises by enforcing site policies and procedures, promptly responding to incidents, and performing routine patrols.

Candidates should be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a background check, and be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently. 3rd shift and weekend work are required.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language proficiently.
• Must Pass Computer Literacy Test to show competency in basic technology usage.
• 1 year of verifiable experience in security or comparable industries.
• As a condition of employment must be willing and able to complete Crisis Prevention Institute curriculum.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Cerasus will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
