Job Description
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining security, handling money transactions, managing crowd control, performing command center functions, assisting guests and team members, and providing administrative support to the Security Supervisor. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining order and providing exceptional guest service on Belterra Park property, including handling difficult customers.
  • Patrolling assigned areas to ensure safety for guests and employees.
  • Assisting guests and employees with directions and procedures.
  • Protecting monetary transfers and jackpot transports.
  • Assisting sick or injured guests and employees.
  • Reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Checking IDs of persons under 21.
  • Monitoring for violations and responding appropriately.
  • Completing accident/incident reports and witness statements.
  • Operating company vehicles safely.
  • Responding to emergencies, including evacuations and establishing perimeters.
  • Performing dispatch activities and logging accurately.
  • Preparing detailed security incident reports for management review.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of company and guest information.

Qualifications

  • Standing and walking in various public areas for most of the shift.
  • Ability to traverse stairs, uneven surfaces, and varied flooring.
  • Effective report writing skills.
  • Quick response to conflicts and potential problems, including self-defense capabilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with moving money and equipment.
  • Assisting sick or injured individuals.
  • Courteous and professional communication skills.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment like keys, handcuffs, flashlights, radios, and computers.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and schedules.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to work under varying conditions, including noise and weather.
  • Confidentiality and investigative procedural knowledge.
  • Bondable with no felony convictions.
  • CPR and bloodborne pathogen certifications.
  • Ability to obtain necessary gaming licenses and work authorization.

The role typically requires two months of on-the-job training or related experience.
