Securitas US Business Unit in Champaign, IL is hiring a Security Officer for full-time shifts (2nd & 3rd). The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment, performing access control, and patrolling client sites to deter incidents.

You will report safety issues, coordinate with clients, and use security technology during shifts. A high school diploma, reliable transportation, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and escalation.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out tasks of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
