Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for Full Time - 1st Shift in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide excellent customer service while patrolling a manufacturing and industrial site.

Position type: Full Time with a Monday–Saturday schedule (Tue–Sat) and 8:00 AM–4:00 PM shifts. Pay rate: $26.00 per hour, with access to Allied Universal perks and benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and control access by verifying identification and credentials.
• Operate access control systems and manage visitor logs.
• Respond calmly to alarms and incidents following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, parking areas, and perimeter.
