Job summary

Willow Valley Communities is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for the Day Shift (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday) at Willow Street, PA. The role emphasizes safeguarding residents, team members, guests, and property, with responsibilities including patrols, incident reporting, visitor management, and emergency response.

Qualified candidates possess a PA driver's license and pass an MVR check; a high school diploma or GED is required, with related experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid PA Driver's License and successfully pass an MVR check.
• High school diploma or GED required; or 6-12 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with coverage on various shifts during other Security Officers' vacations, call-outs, leaves of absence, or special events.
• Respond to and assist with all emergencies.
• Monitor CCTV systems for safety and security concerns.
• Perform mobile patrols throughout Willow Valley properties, with special attention to parking lots and Resident dwellings.
• Conduct foot patrols to identify and address security and safety issues.
• Enforce policies and procedures, including loitering, smoking, and unauthorized removal of Willow Valley property, and contact local authorities regarding suspicious or criminal activity.
• Identify and report irregularities such as fire hazards, water leaks, unlocked security doors, or maintenance concerns; perform minor first-echelon maintenance tasks when needed.
• Observe arriving and departing personnel to help deter theft of company and Resident property.
• Conduct visitor check-in procedures and ensure only authorized individuals enter the property; escort guests, contractors, and vendors as needed.
• Sound alarms or contact police and/or fire departments in emergency situations.
• Report Team Members observed violating company policies and procedures.
• Regulate Resident, Team Member, and visitor parking.
• Perform preliminary investigations of reported safety, security, and transportation issues.
• Assist with fire and safety inspections throughout Willow Valley Communities to ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and DOH standards.
• Performing on-the-spot safety inspections to ensure contractors and subcontractors follow Willow Valley's Safety Guidelines.
• Complete Incident Reports accurately and in a timely manner

Compensation

Starting at $16.50/hour

As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment by:
