As a Security Officer in Westlake, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

• Mon: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Tue: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production‑adjacent areas, administrative buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access permissions, and document security-related events, observations, and incident details in required reports.
• Communicate with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding changing conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues that may impact daily operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the TSA.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
