Job summary

Tulare Outlets in Tulare, CA is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer to patrol the Center's grounds and buildings, deter threats, and ensure a safe shopping environment for guests and employees.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the field or related area preferred.
• Valid Guard Card (per State requirements).
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a security field.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail and openness to new ideas and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property on foot and by vehicle, maintaining visibility and vigilance.
• Respond to calls for service and communicate using security systems and procedures.
• Ensure safety and comfort of shoppers and employees by maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
• Monitor critical areas and ensure security policies are followed.
• Document security activities concisely and accurately using standard forms.
• Assist the Security Manager in implementing the center's security work plan.
• Comply with OSHA health and safety standards and corporate policies.
• Build relationships with store managers and staff to enhance safety.
• Maintain center cleanliness and presentation, assisting with custodial tasks as needed.

ABOUT TULARE OUTLETS

Tulare Outlets is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer to patrol the grounds and buildings of the Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Protect the property both on foot and by vehicle, being visible and observant at all times.
• Maintain the security cellular phone and professionally respond to all calls for service within the Center.
• Ensure the safety, comfort and satisfaction of the shopping public by always exhibiting a professional and helpful attitude.
• Ensure critical areas of the property are monitored.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all security operations, policies and procedures.
• Document security activity using appropriate corporate and center security forms, always ensuring the work product is concise, accurate, and thorough.
• Assist the Security Manager in implementing the center's Security work plan; assigned work activities, projects and programs.
• Perform all duties according to OSHA-established health and safety standards.
• Comply with all Corporate and Security policies and procedures that pertain to the Center.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with store managers and employees on an ongoing basis to enhance the security and safety of all employees and the general public.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the Center by regularly picking up trash, assisting with Food Court custodial duties, arranging seating, etc.
• Serve as a team player by helping with various tasks as needed.
• Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
