Job summary

UR Thompson Health is seeking a security guard for full-time evening shifts (3-11pm) including weekends and holidays, to patrol facilities using a security vehicle and respond to emergencies. The role requires interaction with residents and staff, and collaboration with local authorities.

Starting pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour based on experience. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a NYS driver’s license, and a NYS Security Guard license or exemption.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide security patrols of Thompson Health facilities using a patrol vehicle.
• Assist residents and staff with security and safety concerns.
• Provide fire watch and security services at designated Thompson Health facilities; respond to incidents.
• Coordinate with public officials and administrations to investigate emergencies.
• Perform routine maintenance of security systems and equipment.

Job description

**Schedule: Full time - Evenings (3 - 11pm), weekends, holidays**

Main Function

• Uses Security Guard Patrol Vehicle to travel to designated Thompson Health Corporation Facilities and then provide continual internal and external security and safety patrols of each of those facilities.
• Assist residents and Associate Staff with security and safety Concerns.
• Responsible for providing a fire watch and security service to each of the pre-designated Thompson Health Facilities. Respond to incidents and take appropriate action.
• Work with public officials and Administrations to investigate and mitigate emergencies.
• Performs routine maintenance of Security Systems and equipment.

• Possess knowledge of basic Security Guard responsibilities and related maintenance procedures.

• Actively guard the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

Education And Experience

• Required - High School Degree or G.E.D. equivalent.
